In real life, Major Mohit Sharma convinced the terrorists he was on their side. Then, he lured two top commanders into a trap and eliminated them. In the movie, Ranveer Singh does the same thing to the Lyari gang leaders.

Jaskirat dies in Pakistan. But the Indian government cannot admit a spy was there. So, the Intelligence Bureau brings his body back. They give Seerat a fake story.. They give him a hero’s death on Indian soil so his wife (Seerat) can get his pension and medal. This would be a heartbreaking twist. It would mean Seerat Kaur has been living a lie.

THE SPY UNIVERSE ERROR (The Rakesh Bedi Mistake)

Aditya Dhar is a genius. But he made one big mistake. He broke his own continuity.

Did you notice actor Rakesh Bedi?

In Dhurandhar (2025): He plays Jameel Jamali. This character is based on the real politician Altaf Hussain. He is the corrupt leader of the PAP party in Karachi. He is a major character.

In Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019): Rakesh Bedi plays a Senior Pakistani ISI Officer. It is a small role. He is the one who gets drunk and spills secrets. Why is this a problem? In a shared universe, one actor cannot play two different people. How can Jameel Jamali (a politician in 2009) become an ISI Officer in 2016? It makes no sense.

The Explanation

Aditya Dhar likely did not plan the Spy Universe back in 2019. He just cast Rakesh Bedi because he is a good actor. When he made Dhurandhar, he cast him again in a bigger role. We fans have to use our imagination. Maybe Jameel Jamali changed his identity? Or maybe we just ignore it. This is Bollywood, not Marvel or DC. Sometimes we trade logic for great acting.
